That Live Buzz ⚡
Apologies for the slight delay on this one, folks – the office is still buzzing after **The Undercover Hippy**'s massive show at The Fleece! What a night. The whole place was electric, and it felt like that energy was all over the city. It's clear the autumn gig season is in full swing, and fittingly, last week also delivered some truly monumental releases from Bristol royalty and rising stars alike.

DLR / Alix Perez – SSR001: Counting the Pennies / So Here It Is
An absolutely huge release. Bristol D&B don DLR (on his Sofa Sound label) links up with the legendary Alix Perez for a two-track vinyl-focused release. "Counting the Pennies" is a raw, gritty roller, while "So Here It Is" is a masterclass in deep, minimal tension. This is essential listening for any bass music head.
The Lovely Basement – lowlands
A beautiful, atmospheric release from local outfit The Lovely Basement. *lowlands* is a journey through hazy, lo-fi indie and melancholic post-punk. It's the perfect soundtrack for these dark, rainy autumn evenings, full of intricate guitar lines and haunting vocals.

Koan Sound – Evocation EP
The masters are back! Bristol's own Koan Sound have released *Evocation*, and it's a stunning piece of work. They continue to push the boundaries of glitch-hop and neurofunk, creating an intricate, orchestral, and unbelievably detailed electronic journey. A true album of the year contender.
Mun Sing – Frolic EP
Mun Sing (half of the incredible Giant Swan) returns with the *Frolic EP*. This is a chaotic, high-energy blast of percussive, industrial-tinged club music. It’s relentless, innovative, and guaranteed to make you move in ways you didn't think were possible. Pure, unfiltered Bristol energy.
Henry Greenleaf – Tired EP
Bristol producer Henry Greenleaf continues his ascent with the *Tired EP*. This is a heavyweight slice of experimental, bass-driven techno. The sound design is immaculate, creating a dark, cavernous atmosphere perfect for a late-night session at Strange Brew.
Primitive Instinct – "Interstellar"
"Interstellar" is a gorgeous, atmospheric drum & bass release. Primitive Instinct crafts a deep, liquid roller filled with ethereal pads, soulful vocal chops, and a perfectly clean, rolling break. It's a beautifully produced track that's both uplifting and hypnotic.
Saloon Dion – "Pressure"
A fresh, alt-pop single from emerging Bristol band Saloon Dion. "Pressure" is a catchy, well-crafted track that blends post-punk introspection with shimmering production and a great vocal performance. Keep an eye on this group; they're heading for big things.

Album Launch: Dead Rubber Dolls – Nobody's Home
A massive night for the local scene! Bristol punks Dead Rubber Dolls celebrated the launch of their new album "Nobody's Home" with a suitably chaotic and packed-out headline show at the legendary Louisiana. A huge milestone for the band and a testament to the DIY scene.
Live at The Fleece – The Undercover Hippy
Bringing his signature blend of political folk, reggae, and hip-hop, The Undercover Hippy played a massive show at The Fleece. The atmosphere was electric, with the whole crowd bouncing and singing along to every word. A classic Bristol night.
